RRR and KGF didn't provide the kick that Samajavaragama did!

Following the release of recent blockbusters, Telugu cinema's breadth and depth have increased several times, and the market has grown significantly. Big-budget movies and movies with a broad appeal in India account for a large portion of box office receipts, but tiny films with compelling substance are also performing well.

Samajavaragamana is one of those little movies with modest hopes that become extremely successful. The tiny film became one of the biggest box office successes and is now the North American release with the best return on investment in recent memory. In North America, Sarigama Cinemas distributed Samajavaragamana.

Sree Vishnu's Samajavaragamana was purchased for 25 lakh Indian rupees and made $1 million, or about a fourth of 4 crore rupees. A few foreign distributors expressed interest in Samajavaragamana but ultimately withdrew when the sale fell through; now, they are rumored to be regretting it. Samajavaragamana distribution rights were purchased for 25 lakh rupees as part of a transaction with another film. The distributors of RRR and KGF 2 took a chance on it and were rewarded handsomely.

The distributor Sarigama Cinemas is said to have been the most thrilled with Samajavaragamana's unexpectedly high box office results, and they have now begun a new era. Prior films from the same distributors, Sarigama Cinemas, RRR and KGF 2, had substantial budgets, however Samajavaragamana continues to outperform these two in terms of return on investment. It now amazes me how it provides them the boost they would not have had even with RRR and KGF's tremendous success.

After Samajavaragamana, any short film with respectable substance would get a respectable price in the US market. One thing is certain: regardless of size, every entertaining film will receive applause. Samajavaragamana showed it by doing well and raking in large sums despite having little to no hype before to release.
